Ich bin ein Berliner!

Berlin, Berlin, Berlin. Whew.

What more can I say? I'm not sure I'd recognize Berlin if I saw it between the hours of 6:00am and 1:00pm.  That might be a slight over exaggeration, because despite how late we continuously got back to the hostel (which by the way was awesome, and cheap, and I recommend to anyone planning their next Berlin trip), I always seemed to have too much energy at 9:30 the next morning, and was roaring to go and do more (much to what I'm pretty sure elicited what was horror from Addi and Elina). My energy persisted that is, until 4:30 this morning when Elina and I had to wake up in order to catch our 7:30am flight outside of Berlin. It's now 3:30 in the afternoon, and I'm dying. I have to teach an English class in an hour and a half, and I'm not sure what how well this will work.

But come now, we didn't just party it up until the wee hours of the night. We did other things too! Nice things. We had a picnic in the park, walked across the city, explored the ridiculously roundabout metro and train system (which is only ridiculous because I'm so used to Copenhagen's TWO metro lines), went shopping, visited the interactive DDR museum, took photos at the Brandenberger Tor, ate brunch, and enjoyed really lovely French food, and many other things. I met up with some old friends that came to my high school on exchange years ago (shout out to anyone from Frau Bird's German class who's reading this), and on Sunday we went to the massive, and impressive, flea market.

I even bought post cards, and stamps, then failed to mail them. No one is surprised by that though. Maybe I'll post more about the trip, but right now I'm focusing on getting through the rest of this day!
