I'm on top of the world!!!!!

So the weather here has been a little bit bipolar lately. It was bright and sunny, then snowing, then raining. It's been windy and gray, snowed a little more, hailed a bunch, then jumped back up in the 50s. I don't know how to deal with this. How in the world are we supposed to get dressed!? What do I wear!? How am I going to know to put long johns on under my jeans and wear wool socks if it looks like a perfect summer day when I wake up? Why do I need to tote around mittens, a hat, and scarf, when it's not freezing out? Not to mention doing your hair when you have no idea what the humidity situation will be like is a joke. The whole thing is very stressful.

On Wednesday it was actually sunny. It was cold, and windy, but actually lovely and sunny with clear blue skies. So a friend and I decided to go for a walk (originally I'd been trying to find a present for someone...but because of the Easter Holiday, the shops were closed). We strolled through the city center and walking streets and across the canal to Christianshavn.  And here for your enjoyment, is out walking tour.

Ooooooohhhhh....

Awwwwwwwww....

Woooooow!

Suddenly, stumbling through sunny streets stuffed with....students...people. We came upon...

Vor Frelsers Kirke!!!!

So for some really stupid idea, we thought 'hey, it's a beautiful day. Let's climb all the way to the top of one of the cities biggest landmarks, then look down!'

Our reward was an amazing aerial view of Copenhagen. I've posted pictures for you here, so you don't have to endure the cardio.

It was pretty. And kind of scary at the top. I was a bit shaky by the time we climbed back down. And I had to pee really bad. But I thought, since so many people have accused me of not doing any touristy stuffs while here, I should show that i have seen the seedy commercial side of things. And it was tall, and windy. I think i'll go see the little Mermaid again next time I want to be a tourist.

Hej hej!!
